Although apparently Sri Lankan road infrastructure is improving significantly and transport possibilities are greater than before, moving around the narrow and winding roads can sometimes seem like a great adventure.
Regardless of whether you travel by bus, tuk-tuk, train, or rented car, be patient.
Apart from Colombo and a few seaside resorts, the most common form of accommodation here are guest houses. Nor should one count too much on a rich nightlife straight from Bangkok, or stalls with street food known throughout Asia.

Sri Lanka’s Hill Country is covered with a huge carpet of waving tea plantations. You can start your trip by gaining knowledge at the Ceylon Tea Museum, which is located on the outskirts of Kandy.
